Pinnorich Villa Hotel, Buea’s premier resort, has reaffirmed its commitment to its core principles of care, excellence, and community leadership with the recent installation of new, sustainable street lighting.
The initiative illuminates both the hotel grounds and its host neighborhood in Bokwai New Layout, enhancing safety and accessibility for all.
The hotel’s management installed 11 solar-powered street lamps along two key roads connecting the property to the main highway.
This project not only elevates the guest experience but also directly benefits local residents.
An additional 11 solar-powered lights have been placed within the hotel premises to ensure a bright and welcoming environment for the many visitors who seek comfort and relaxation at the resort each month.
Grace Baya Tchassie, CEO of Pinnorich Hotel, explained that the initiative reflects the hotel’s belief that genuine hospitality extends beyond exceptional accommodation to creating lasting, positive community impact.
“The belief inspired our recent initiative to install solar powered street lights in selected areas around the hotel and in Bokwai. The decision to undertake this community development project was driven by our commitment to safety, sustainability and shared prosperity,” Mrs. Grace Baya said.
“Improved street lighting enhances security for residents, visitors and businesses while also supporting economic activity after dark.”
She added that the choice of solar energy aligns with global best practices for environmental protection and clean, renewable energy solutions.
“Guests who choose to stay with us are not only assured of comfort, serenity and excellent service, but are also supporting a brand that is deeply invested in community growth and responsible corporate citizenship.”
The installation was coordinated by Mr. Sah Afumbom Frankline, Manager of Pinnorich Villa Hotel, who noted its immediate benefits for the community.
“Light chases away evil. Where there is light, you can hardly see an evil activity taking place—like stealing. And also for those coming here they feel secured,” said Mr. Afumbom.
He emphasized that the street lighting is only the beginning of the hotel’s ongoing efforts to serve the community and enhance guest services. The next phase will involve rehabilitating the access road linking the hotel to the main road to ensure smooth mobility for all.
“We will make sure that the road is in good shape so that people can freely move in their vehicles without problems,” he stated.
Earlier this year, the hotel sponsored bulldozing works and the opening of gutters on this street, enhancing drainage improvements. But after the recent rainy season caused damage to the road, Pinnorich is committed to restoring the road to an excellent standard, further transforming the area and adding to guest comfort.
With the festive season approaching, Sah Afumbom Frankline warmly invites the public to make Pinnorich their destination for family gatherings, celebrations, and special events.
The resort offers a comprehensive range of premium amenities, including well-appointed hotel rooms and guest houses, conference and event halls, a swimming pool, a top-class restaurant, and recreational game facilities.
“What I’m telling my customers out there is that we are doing our best to make sure that they move into Pinnorich without facing any difficulties. The lighting is there, the good road is there and then we have so many facilities here that people can come here and relax,” Afumbom said.
Pinnorich Villa Hotel continues to set the standard for luxury, sustainability, and community partnership in Buea.
