FOMIC University Graduates Job, Industry Creators

FOMIC Polytechnic University Institute, December 20, graduated 204 professionals armed to create jobs and industries, during a joint Matriculation and Graduation ceremony.

FOMIC University has, since creation in 2012, produced professionals who have impacted the society in various fields of studies and training.

For its impact, the university institute and its founder and Pro-Chancellor, Professor Michael Forzoh Fossung, have won several awards, notably the Change Maker/Nation Builders Award.

The December 20 Matriculation and Graduation ceremony began with a procession led by the Director of Academic Affairs and Mace Bearer, Dr. Metuge Wilfred.

Exhorting God to bless the institution, students and lecturers, Pastor Okechuku told the students: “It is good to have education; it is good to have wealth. But what impact have you made on lives? There are always two problems: the problem you create and the problem you solve.”

He prayed God to guide both the graduating students and those coming in.

The Vice Chancellor of FOMIC University, Chief Professor Nol Alembong, addressing the graduates, said: “Put into practice what you have learnt in this university. You have lived up to the challenges of the times. You have sailed through FOMIC. Your lecturers deployed all their capabilities to train you. We are glad that you are going to the socio-professional world.”

He congratulated the matriculating students for having chosen FOMIC University.

“Thanks and congratulations for making this choice. Your reception in a community means you have accepted the rules and regulations that govern that community. Taking the oath means you have agreed to the rules and regulations of FOMIC University.”

To colleagues, Prof Alembong said: “It is very challenging to work with young people. Your efforts are a mark of humility, a mark of loyalty, a mark of resilience. You have put in your best. Irrespective of the challenges, I call on you to be resilient.”

Addressing parents, the Vice Chancellor said: “Thank you for supporting the students. Parents are important in the training of children. The sacrifices are too many. We thank you. Those sacrifices will pay you multiple-fold.

FOMIC University runs School of Business, School of Agriculture, School of Engineering, School of Medical and Laboratory Sciences and the Faculty of Law and International Relations.

These schools are equipped with ultra-modern facilities and a dynamic teaching staff drawn from various academic milieus and the professional world. FOMIC University has two campuses: located at Tarred Malingo Street, Molyko – Buea and at Entrée Pilote Banaberi, Douala.

The university institute, created in 2012, has shaped professional education and impacted society with its graduates.
