Judith Yah Sunday Épse Achidi, a Central Committee Member of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM, party, has urged the people of Mbu, Akum, and Santa to show their gratitude to the Presidential couple through unity, loyalty, and commitment to building the Cameroon of their dreams.
The call was made during a ceremony on Saturday, August 16, in Yaounde, where the three communities gathered to celebrate Judith Yah Sunday’s appointment to the CPDM Central Committee by the party’s National President, Paul Biya. Among the top personalities present were Fai Yengo and Minister Felix Mbayu as well as traditional rulers.
“My dear brothers and sisters,” Judith Yah Sunday stated, “let us once again demonstrate our gratitude to the Presidential Couple, not just with words, but through our unity, our loyalty, and our commitment to building the Cameroon of our dreams under his enlightened leadership.”
She also stressed the importance of the upcoming election, adding, “Above all, let’s ensure that, come October 12, we elect our National President of the CPDM as the new President of the Republic of Cameroon. This is for a brighter future, stability, and peace for all of us.”
Judith Yah Sunday expressed her gratitude to the Head of State for his leadership and for his belief in the nation’s men and women. She also thanked First Lady Chantal Biya, the “Mother of the Nation,” for her unwavering support and guidance.
Thanking the three communities for their gesture, Judith Yah Sunday noted that their show of support is “not merely symbolic, but a celebration of the values of solidarity, unity, and progress that define us as a people. I stand before you today deeply humbled and most grateful for your presence.”
“Your support, recognition, and prayers are more than just encouragement,” she continued. “They are a mandate that reminds me that individual achievements only find their true meaning when they are shared with the community that nurtured them.”
Judith Yah Sunday added, “This is a testament to our collective spirit – a people determined to rise even amidst the challenges that confront us,” she stated. “This is why, in the spirit of service, I seize this opportunity to announce that on the 28th of this month of August, and we shall gather again in Santa for a Free Heart campaign, an initiative to address the basic health needs of our people.”
Dr. Gue, an elite from Mbu village, stated that the came to congratulate their sister and to thank the Head of State for recognising them. He added that the celebration and their visit to Judith Yah Sunday demonstrate their dedication and attachment to the actions of the Head of State. To him, this support will be solidified during the upcoming elections, where they will show their full commitment to the Head of State and the party.
During the event, Mbu Development and Cultural Association, MBUCDA a community thanked President Paul Biya for the trust he placed in their sister. They noted that her work as the General Manager of CAMTEL propelled the President to honor her with the appointment.
The community also conferred the title “Tumtumambo,” which means “MBU Palace Ambassador,” on her and assured President Paul Biya of their steadfast support in the upcoming presidential election.
Judith Yah Sunday Épse Achidi, General Manager of Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL, was appointed as the Central Committee Member of the CPDM on March 27, 2025 among other members.
